never completed project and was not able to get ahold of his company for weeks. had to find some else to finish the project.

Had to fire contractor. Work is structurally sound but cosmetically poor. First job required us to do a lot of finishing work. Second job I was lied to and told two floors didn't match up because the floor was now level but after checking it myself the brand new subfloor was not level. Floor also has large gaps between the boards. Contractor did fix issues that we explicitly pointed out but after a while became belligerent as if making sure the job was done correctly was a burden. Looking back there were numerous errors and discrepancies in the estimate and the contract.
