If I could give no star I would!!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FREDDY'S ELECTRONICS TV REPAIR!!!! Do not hire Freddy's Electronics TV Repair listed on google doing business as Washington Electronic's TV Repair. Fredy the owner is a scam and would not take responsibilities for the damages that he caused to our tv. We were looking for a company to come and repair our 60 inch samsung TV that needed a new main board replace since our power went out and our TV kept turning on and off repeatedly. Very simple any company would order the parts and install it properly. We looked around and found Freddy's Electronic's TV Repair with a 4.2 star rating. On his google listing he had in big bold letters free quote with no additional charges for coming out. We also noticed that he had four other google listing for the same company for different locations with different star ratings. So we called Mr. Freddy to come out on February 18, 2019. He place our tv facing downward on our bed and unscrew the back cover with a power screw driver. After he examine what needed to be repair he place our tv back where it was. It never moved after that moment. He explain to us that the tv needed a new main board and that our quote was for $259 total with no additional charges. He said that we have to pay $150 up front to order the parts and the remaining $109 once the parts are installed. We paid in in full with a check on February 18, 2019. He told us to make the check out to him instead of his business. At first we were questioning why he would make the check out to himself instead of the business. He said that he's the owner and that in order for him to get the check cash out asap to order the parts and that he would provide a tracking number for the parts. We proceed to pay him and saw the check cashed out on February 19, 2019. After calling him multiple times he provided us with a picture of the tracking number but it had no company name or where he purchased it from. We had to call him repeatedly for the tracking number and to ask when he would come to install parts since he mention that it would arrive on February 20 or 21, 2019. When he came back on February 21, 2019 he told us he will arrive sometime at noon. Noon became 2:20pm. Before he could open the part box we all discovered three internal cracks on our tv. At this point we were freaking out and told him that the cracks are inside the tv and ask if it could have been done by him unscrewing the tv facing downward. He repeatedly said "it doesn't work like that" and started packing all his tools and quickly trying to leave our home. He kept saying our dog scratch it and we were like if our dog scratch the tv then it would be external and that we would feel the cracks on the outside. Plus the cracks were in the same areas as the screws and were he had taken our main board out. He then told us that he would charge us a service charge. At first he didn't give us an amount then after questioning him he threw out some number of $79 for coming out and will return the difference from what we paid him. We paid in full for our tv to be repaired to not get any service done, to have our tv broken and to be charged on top of that. He kept the parts and literally ran out our house without giving us any explanation or taking any responsibilities for our tv being un-repairable at this point. As he rush out he said he "doesn't work for free" and would not give us the full refund because he had to come out. We had our attorney try to call to mediate the situation and he hung up on her. I honestly don't think he has insurance for his business. I looked him up in Maryland and DC State Corp Commission and discover his business was called Washington Electronics. Please do not call this company for any services. They have multiple service complaints on the BBB website as well.
