Bathroom Ship-lap Accent Wall

Sep 2017

We did a nice ship-lap accent wall/walls for a customer. Both our laser measure and laser level made this job a breeze. Scribing against the ceiling and floor was a lot of fun and gave it a clean finish. With an 1/8 inch reveal against both the ceiling and counter top made the room feel much larger. We also went back with individual tilt mirrors which also opened up the space.

Exterior Shower Project

Sep 2017

We built an exterior shower for cleaning up out of the pool or lake. Using 4x4s with 2x4 bracing ensured a sturdy product. We used board and batten style with pressure treated lumber. That gave the privacy needed without the risk of rot or decay. Because of the porch on the left side we needed to extend one side to ensure privacy. We used gate hardware to hang our door but used some old driftwood for the handle and lock. This gave a nice rustic look and finish. We left it unstained because the homeowners wanted to finish it themselves.

Handrails for Loft in Sharpsburg

Aug 2017

This space over the living room was being used as a bedroom. To ensure no accidents or injury we fabricated custom handrails. We notched the sub-floor so we could attach the handrails directly to the floor joists to ensure maximum hold and safety. To maintain the cabin look we used chicken wire for the insert of the rails. We then matched the stain to the rest of the house as closely as we could. The chicken wire, rough lumber, and dark stain captured the cabin feel without sacrificing structure or function.

McDonough Backsplash

Nov 2016

This is just about the definition of old space new feel. Customer had us install a backsplash for the kitchen with new counter tops. They picked out a really cool tile that worked well with counter choice. It really lightened up the room and helps add some inspiration to cooking done in this space. We used a light color grout which helps disperse light making the space feel bright and new.

Newnan Stone Backsplash

Oct 2016

Installed frosted white tumbled marble as a kitchen back-splash. Grouted with a stain resistant grout, and tile sealed with a natural stone sealer. Natural stone like this can look really cool. Precision is required around the light rail of the cabinets, but we made sure to keep it tight. Cutting this way allows for a consistent and flowing grout joint that will blend it with the rest of the tile. Both us and the customer were really happy with the finish!
