Now with COVID, we've done several very high-end garage conversions to provide clients with additional space whether it's a workshop, a guest house, a private gym or just a 'speakeasy' type space to have a few friends over. We love creative design projects and always want to hear about our clients' cool ideas! Most recently we have transformed a garage into a completely soundproof man cave with a reclaimed wood interior, custom bathroom and more. We recently completed our fourth remodeling project working with Azimuth Works. They do excellent work. Josh and his team are easy to work with. Great communication. We have also gotten great consultations on colors, materials and other things. So far they've installed a sliding door, painted and trimmed a room and built us a new patio, and restored our fence. We're having them build us a pergola next. Highly recommend their team.

I will not be working with Mr. Sanderson again nor recommend his services. Since he completed a fence project, he has threatened a lawsuit for writing online reviews about his business and engaged in verbal abuse and name-calling. The next time this occurs, I will be filming the interaction and notifying the Seattle police. Direct quotes I’ve received from Mr. Sanderson: "In the meantime, you may not take any further action including paying your bill or posting reviews online that will only reflect further on your poor judgment in handling this as our neighbor. " "If these fake reviews are not taken down today there will need to be legal action taken. This is harassment." "This has been like dealing with an unruly child. This review needs to be taken down. It's not even factual." And in his attempts to remove and invalidate my experiences with his business, he’s written: “he is a fraud” “this guy is so odd.” “This guy is trouble.” “abusive fraudsters like this man” In May '21, our next door neighbor, my wife and myself met with Mr. Sanderson to discuss repairing the fence that we share with our next door neighbor. Over the course of the project, I approved change order decisions documented over email and paid Mr. Sanderson directly the first materials invoice of over $1,000 in full, and then got reimbursed by our neighbor, as agreed upon. In July '21, Mr. Sanderson completed the job and sent the final invoice to all parties. I expressed concern over the final labor invoice and offered to meet in-person. In the middle of the back and forth communication, our neighbor paid her 1/2 of the invoice as we had originally agreed upon. After a series of aggressive communication from Mr. Sanderson, he finally agreed to meet in-person to discuss the dispute. I then mysteriously did not hear from him for 4 days. It's then when I asked for our updated invoice reflecting 1/2 of the final costs and telling him that I would be writing reviews of my poor experience. That’s when Mr. Sanderson began to use intimidation tactics. Now, Mr. Sanderson is claiming I was never a client, despite personally asking for my approval on change decisions on the job, my name being on all invoices as well as paying Mr. Sanderson directly the 1st materials invoice of over $1K in full. He even stated over email: “you may not pay your bill” – what kind of non-client gets a bill? His own response to my review shows the nature of this deceitful claim, which states both: “This reviewer is not actually a client of Azimuth Works” + “we had gotten signoff on email on every project decision [from the Whangs]” – it’s really deceitful and misleading behavior. He’s unfortunately also gotten our next door neighbor involved, who I had no dispute with, to send us threatening msgs: “If these fake reviews are not taken down today there will need to be legal action taken. This is harassment.” To compel our neighbor to threaten legal action on his behalf was unexpected. He has consistently been accusatory and claiming that I am the harasser and name-calling. This kind of gaslighting behavior was also unexpected. I have paid the balance we owe in full and consider the matter closed, yet Mr. Sanderson continues to demand that my reviews be taken down and spending considerable time and effort doing so. I understand that for a business owner that negative reviews are challenging to hear, but to threaten lawsuits and intimidation of a customer is an extremely unprofessional response. I would caution working with Mr. Sanderson based on his threatening and intimidating behavior and bullying. These kinds of intimidation tactics are unfortunate and my hope is that Mr. Sanderson can grow from this experience. I recently completed anti-harassment training at my corporate workplace and there are telltale signs of gaslighting in Mr. Sanderson's behavior. My experience with him is that his first instinct in conflict is to accuse, control, intimidate, blame and ultimately threaten. There are so many excellent, trustworthy and kind contractors out there that are worth the effort to search for and work with. In my experience, Mr. Sanderson is not one of them.
