I had the pleasure of helping Mr. Lucio Perez at my paint store. He came it 20 mins till closing and waited patiently for my coworker and I to help him after our customers. When I got around to him he said he needed a color match and brought in a perfect sample to test on. I told we would have the match ready for him first thing in the morning since we were going to close in the next 6 mins. He didn’t seem to like my answer and walked out without placing his order for the morning . The very next day I helped him again. He came back with the same match but this time gave me more attitude when I asked if he had a contractors account with us ( he did not), and what type of paint he needed for his project . He was very instigating with me almost like he wanted to start a fight because “I refused to help him last night”. I then said “I’m sorry sir I’m trying to help you the best I can. He said and I paraphrase “I don’t want you to try I want you to do. I don’t believe in trying , it’s not in my vocabulary.”. At that point I just wanted to get his order done as fast and smoothly as possible without making the situation worse. I gave him his total and told him it would take 1 hour( that’s how long color matches take at my store) and he seemed shocked he had to pay on the spot to wait so long for paint along with a “f***” to go with. In conclusion, I would not recommend Lucio Perez with GTO Builders for any future projects. He doesn’t know how to treat people with respect and expects costumer service workers to read his mind and hand everything to him.

I do not recommend GTO Builders (Lucio Perez) for remodeling and here is why. I contracted with GTO Builders to remodel our master & guest bathrooms by (1) replacing vanities & mirrors in both bathrooms; (2) Vanity lights in master bathroom; (3) Replace granite with quartz counter tops in both bathrooms and convert old bathtub/shower into a shower. Lucio assured us he was a licensed contractor, and I did not ask for his license number a mistake as when I checked with the State of Arizona Registrar’s office when GTO Builders was refusing to finish the job the Registrar’s office reported GTO Builders is not licensed and was required to be licensed on a major job such as this. While most of the work was completed satisfactory the quartz counter tops were damaged when they were installed in 5 places (gouges/chips); This was a big issue given the quartz was expensive & could not be replaced. GTO Builders started to repair the quartz by filling in the damage areas but never finished the work by polishing the area as seen in the photos. Our dream shower has turned into a disaster & my wife is so unhappy. My next mistake occurred when GTO Builders was almost done with the quartz repairs and requested the final payment. Given the remaining quartz repairs were almost done I paid him. I knew better but Lucio seemed sincere. I contacted GTO Builders several times since & they said not to worry as they will take care of the repairs. GTO Builders made 3 appointments to complete the repairs & never showed - they left me waiting. I have someone else coming in to complete the repairs to the quartz which be an additional l $400.
