About HOMETEC Architecture
We specialize in designing custom homes and have been in business in the Santa Clara County for 28 years. Our philosophy of design is to develop your home based on your needs and wants, not our ego. The design begins on trace paper and evolves out of conversations related to various aspects of the design - number of bedrooms, aging-in-place concerns, type of lifestyle, neighborhood, budget and property constraints, preferred style of home - and the choices you make regarding the pros and cons of the design aspects. We use Chief Architect, a 3D-based software program, to design your project. Once the design has been defined to a certain degree, the house is created in Chief Architect and you will be given a usb drive with the Viewer program, enabling you to 'walk' through the house in 3D. After each meeting your usb drive is updated with the latest iteration of the design so you can review the design at home. By the time the construction documents are ready to be submitted to the City, Town or County for plan check, our clients are confident they have the house that they want.
