But a pantry and small doorway separated the kitchen from the incredible ocean vistas and activities of the family. The new kitchen was designed with get together in mind, and included opening up two walls and creating separate work stations to accommodate different functions. Period details were duplicated from the rest of the home to provide continuity, including wide board flooring and original cabinet details.
