Cardinal Roofing & Siding is located in Port St Lucie, FL. The company employs approximately 60 employees and is categorized under the Roofing Contractors industry. This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in roofing. This industry also includes establishments treating roofs (i.e., spraying, painting, or coating) and installing skylights. The work performed may include new work, additions, alterations, maintenance, and repairs. Cardinal Roofing & Siding can be more broadly classified into the Specialty Trade Contractors sector, defined as companies whose primary activity is performing specific activities involved in building construction or other activities that are similar for all types of construction, but that are not responsible for the entire project. The production work performed by establishments in this sector is usually subcontracted from establishments of the general contractor type or operative builders, but especially in remodeling and repair construction, work also may be done directly for the owner of the property. Specialty trade contractors usually perform most of their work at the construction site, although they may have shops where they perform prefabrication and other work. There are substantial differences in types of equipment, work force skills, and other inputs required by specialty trade contractors. Throughout the Specialty Trade Contractors sector, establishments commonly provide both the parts and labor required to complete work.

While my husband was deployed in Afghanistan I had my roof completely redone by Cardinal roofing. I was told that I had purchased the top-of-the-line shingles for my house and they should be able to withstand a category three storm. This was in January 2014. We are now selling our house in September 2018 and our roof has failed inspection. There are multiple leaks and damages to the roof. We paid $9,000 for the roof and just had a quote for $4,800 to fix the roof from another company. Two further companies have quotes us and said that the work done was shoddy. We were informed that the roof is only guaranteed for three years and Bruce will not fix it. I would advise anybody looking at this company to look at another company in the area. Most other companies that I have researched have a guarantee of five years. This company does not stand behind their work. They are a disgrace and I will be recommending that no service members use this company. They ripped off a service member while he was serving in Afghanistan. Disgraceful.

I signed a contract with Cardinal Roofing in February with an estimate start date of 6-8 weeks. The roof did not start until June. After Cardinal Roofing dried in the roof, they walked away because they wanted another payment. They were aware and had agreed to accept the payment terms of the insurance/mortgage company (who was holding the payment). 25% was issued to begin and the insurance/mortgage company had to send an inspector to assess the work before issuing another payment. Cardinal Roofing failed to secure the dry-in. This caused water intrusion to my home, with multiple water spots throughout the home. After several weeks of fighting for them to go back and finish the roof, Cardinal Roofing finally completed the roof replacement but has still not repaired the interior damage professionally. Cardinal Roofing is horrible about communication. Bruce is unprofessional and yelled on the phone. All they cared about was payment -- which ended up being $920 more for the roof (I don't believe they did replace all the plywood they said that they did) and it doesn't include the money I am and will be out for the interior damage. Even if they didn't want to follow the payment terms that they had previously agreed to, the roof should have been dried-in properly and the damages should have been handled professionally and corrected the first time. This is still an ongoing issue with a lawsuit on the horizon. I have filed a complaint with the State Inspector and BBB. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! They are very unprofessional and do not accept accountability. **we have photos before this roof began to show that the home had no previous interior damage for the months that we waited for them to start the replacement. The home was on the market for sale until this occurred.
