Carlton Palms Condominium Association Office

Nov 2016

The office was a small but inefficient work space. The first thing was to clear out the space, evaluate what was necessary for the function of the day-to-day operations of the office and eliminate unnecessary items, such as the flimsy colored drawer rack. The desk was then moved so that the employee was facing the door in order to greet patrons. A section of the desk that was blocking paper flow was removed. The filing cabinets were also moved to create floor space. Other work surfaces were brought back in to create a "U" shaped work space. The job took about 40 hours over the course of 10 days due to having to revamp the entire filing system and organize a small storage area as well.

Attic bedroom

Feb 2016

This client wanted the attic bedroom to be a place where her nieces could hang out and relax during summer vacation. We first cleared closet and storage space by eliminating unwanted items. Holiday decorations were stored in the closet. We rearranged the room to afford a better layout that would give the girls more space and brought in a wicker loveseat from the front porch that was not being used. The entire space was dusted and mopped. The entire project took about 4-5 hours.

Pantry

Feb 2016

This was a small pantry. Items were stored on the floor making it difficult to get all the way into the pantry. The microwave was taking up a shelf. A three-tiered cart that the homeowner had in a closet was utilized to house pet food and maximizing use of the otherwise wasted space below the shelves. On the back wall of the pantry I purchased acrylic dividers to add tiers to stack canned goods, since the shelves were not adjustable and used small baskets and a turntable for small items and condiments. Rarely used items were placed on the top shelf. The pantry took a couple of hours but we also organized a couple of other cabinets in the kitchen and installed a Rev-a-Shelf. Total time for pantry and kitchen about 4 hours. Rev-A-Shelf was an additional $85 cost.
