Originally wanting a wood deck and a patio at ground level, our design team put together a beautiful plan with a raised patio creating an elegant private outdoor living space to entertain and bring the landscaping up to another level. | Oriental, NC | |
  | Haywood Creek Waterfront Living | Jan 2011 | Atlantic Coast was brought on to design a way to make the waterfront back yard of this home more functional and user friendly. By installing a two-wall segmental retaining system we were able to achieve a three tiered back yard to separate the diffenrent spaces. We created a very natural landscape with the use of many varieties of natural grasses, wildlife attracting plants, and an incredible number of perrenials. The homeowner had us create a rainwater harvesting system from a recycled tank they had to irrigate the areas. There was also an area for gardening and herbs and spices. There is a small patio for grilling and entertaining and we also installed the front lawn with St. Augustine turf. Some natural stone boulders we added along with the clients own art really made this landscape one of a kind! | Trent Woods, NC | |

This project consisted of several phases of design and installation actually starting with the back yard. Also included is a natural stone back path and patio and some very unique plant material. The homeowner uses harvested rainwater to maintain her plant beds and also enjoys a water feature, night lighting, and lots of plants and feeders to attract wildlife.
