O&M Construction Inc

I used O&M Construction to replace my roof. I am located in Chicago Heights. We had a Storm come blow off some shingles on my roof. I had several of roofing company knocking on my door and wanted to replace my roof. I did not know who to turn to. I contacted my Insurance company and they asked if I had chosen a roofing contractor yet, I told them no. I am a cook county sheriff for the last 36 years and when I was heading in to work I seen our building was getting ready to get a roof done. I reached out to find out who was the company, I was given Michael name and number. I made a appointment for Michael to come out and provide me a estimate. He showed up on time and kept his distance to to COVID and he even wore a mask. I was impressed because I had two other company give me estimate and NEITHER of the estimators wore mask. To me this is important. Moving on.... Michael got off my roof and went to his truck and on the spot wrote the estimate. He was very detail in his estimate, He made sure I knew exactly what was on the estimate and what roll that material job was on my roof. VERY DETAIL AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE!!! There was no pressure to sign with him, in fact he wanted me to do my research on his company and the material he was using before I signed. I never had a company do that before. Laster that day I talk to my wife and we did our due diligence, I did find some 1 star reviews on yelp and 1 on the BBB site. So I ask Michael about it. He stated that yelp only post bad reviews that if I looked in the non recommended section I would see more reviews. I did hire O&M, They did everything they said! the work looks great! Michael is a man of his word! His crew was very polite and clean. Michael Was on site when the inspector came and he kept my wife and I informed the entire project. This was a great experience! First, for those of you who do not read the whole thing let me say this; Michael and O&M saved my butt, did fantastic work and I would hire them again in a hot second. For those who want to understand why I rave about O&M read on… To do justice to what went on here and how Michael bent over backwards for me I need to start just after we accepted an offer on our home. We had set a closing date of July 1st. Everything was proceeding according to plan when during the home inspection (about two weeks before closing) found hail damage. That is when we called Michael. His responsiveness was remarkable. I explained the situation and with the closing right around the corner he rearranged things to be out the next day. He arrived on time and confirmed the hail damage. He explained the claims process to us, and we called our insurance company to file the claim. The adjuster would not budge on his time frame even when we explained what was happening. July 2nd was the soonest he could be out. After much discussion (and Michael’s promise to get the roof done within one week of the adjuster visit) we put off closing until July 14th. Painful for all involved but what were we going to do? July 2 roles around and Michael was Johnny on the spot. He handled all the interfacing with the adjuster. Climbed up on the roof and started circling hail damage with chalk. Took pictures. Guided the adjuster to make sure he did not miss any of the damage. That is when I knew I made the correct choice. The whole roof was covered and the garage roof to boot! July 3rd they dropped the roofing materials, shingles and my chin. Holiday weekend and my materials were already in the driveway. Monday July 6th came around and the crew was here bright and early. As was everything in the house, the old roof was not installed correctly. O&M had to add several vents that should have been there in the first place. They laid down tarps and started stripping the roof. By the end of the day I had two new roofs. Adding to the win is the clean manner they left my yard, deck and garage. The next day I see Michael out there. He was going around and getting little scraps I did not even notice. The closing proceeded as it should and the buyers were incredibly happy with the new roof. The old world caring in the work Michael does is apparent in every step of the process. From handling the adjuster to making sure the crew cleaned to his standard. I am so happy I choose O&M construction and highly recommend you do the same.

So I had shingles loose from a wind storm and called O&M Construction, they came out and fixed for $300. About 6 months later we have a major wind storm and more the 3/4 of my roof was bad. I called O&M Construction and they meet with my adjusted and got me a brand new upgraded roof. Best part if the $300 I gave them before they applied it to my deductible I was really happy. . Fair honest, company

Great roofing company. Had to get a new roof after 30 years it was time, I called Mike and his team on 12/20/18 to get an idea what it would cost. He gave me his price, explained the product that he uses and went over the installation process. He was not pushy at all. Long story short I got three other estimate just to compare. My finding was that the other company where selling my a cheaper product, cheaper felt, cheaper hip and ridge shingles and not replace. Mike did a fantastic job. He was only $1,200 more but worth it. He also gave my wife and I movie theater tickets to see a movie when the work was getting done. Talk about a great contractor....
