We started paying rent for the home about four days before we were able to physically move in and, unbeknownst to us, they were using this time to paint the interior and exterior of the home and perform other turn-over maintenance. The home was almost not ready in time for our move-in, and when we expressed concern over this matter, they told us we should be grateful for the new paint. Maintenance issues that were noted at move-in were never repaired. At move-in the carpet was in abysmal condition complete with large stains and an unsightly, unmatched patch in the middle of the living room. Upon move-out, there was an extensive list of things we had to take care of. One such thing was to replace the air filter. We were not able to find the location of the air filter and it seemed as though it was in one of the vaulted ceilings, for which we did not have a tall enough ladder, so they told us "not to worry about it." They also instructed us to patch and paint all screw/nail holes, which we did. We were then baffled to have $565 taken out of our security deposit for two air filters and the screw/nail holes. We requested an itemized receipt so we could try to figure out how they came up with this astronomical number, yet they refused to provide one. All correspondence with them from day one to our final day was rude and unprofessional. If you are comfortable doing your own maintenance and you do not plan to hang anything on the walls, then you will probably be okay renting from them, otherwise, stay away!
