I have a GE XL44 gas stove I purchased new in 1999. It has worked well and Ive never had to have any repairs. For the last couple of weeks I noticed that when the oven dial is in the OFF position the gas comes on and ignites goes off and then repeats. It goes without saying; this needs to stop.
