My fireplace needed extensive work. The work was to be comolested in two weeks. They required 1/2 of the cost up front and the balance upon completion. They started a week later than planned, which meant that I was not going to be there when the project was completed. I left the balance of funds with my son. When Chimney Pros said theu were done, my son paid them the balance. Unfortunately, the work does not appear to be even half done And I can not get Chimney Pros to respond to emails or phone messages. Positively the worst experience I have had in dealing with home repair professionals.

Fenced off work area to prl ensure public safety. Reinstalled fallen architectural stone ornamental piece with masonry anchors and epoxy. Anchored remaining 13 architectural stone ornamental pieces with new masonry anchors and epoxy. Tuckpointed all masonry on tower structure, installed approximately 250 helical ties to reattach brick facade wall to tower structure to replace old steel brick ties which had rusted out. Re-Colored brick and mortar, waterproofed and sealed all masonry on on tower structure. | Fairway Kansas Dual Fireplace Chimney Exterior Masonry Brick Replacement | Jun 2014 | Fairway KS Fireplace chimney repair. Two fireplace chimneys on opposite ends of the residence had masonry damage, deterioration, and spalled brick damage. We erected scaffolding, and wood panel protection over the central air units and covered surrounding foliage with netting and tarps. We removed the top 18 rows (course) of exterior brick from one fireplace chimney and rebuilt it from the roof line up with new exterior brick. We (Spot-Cut) chiseled out and replaced approximately 95 individually spalled/deteriorated brick on the two chimneys. We replaced two cracked and damaged chimney crowns and overlaid them with a special waterproof elastomeric sealer. We replaced the existing chimney flashing with new step flashing (both base and counter flashing). We also waterproofed both chimneys and the brick front facade of the home. | $8k | Fairway, KS |
