Previous company out misdiagnosed the issue with the customers furnace. They were getting their inducer motor assembly full of water and it was locking out the furnace. The diagnostic revealed a tiny blockage in the exhaust vent drain line which was causing the water condensation to back up into the furnace inducer housing and shutting the furnace down. After finding the issue, clearing the blockage and blowing out all the drain lines the furnace is operating normally again.

We preformed a second opinion for the customers gas pack. The previous company out responded to a service request for no heat on the customers gas pack unit. The company stated that the unit had flame rolling out of the heat exchanger and the only cause of this would be a hole in the heat exchanger and because of this the whole gas pack needed to be replaced at the cost of approximately $5500. (As a side note: If the heat exchanger were defective it would have been replaced under manufactures warranty). The customer felt uneasy about this because the unit was only 7 years old. Keller HVAC Services was called out for a 2nd opinion. Upon inspection of the unit it was realized that the heat exchanger was in no way compromized and was in great condition. Their was a reason for the flame rollout though that was causing the safety switch to shut the unit off. The inducer motor (or exhaust motor for the burners) was not sealed properly. This low air flow issue was causing the flame to back up into the burner compartment tripping the safety switch. After performing a thorough maintenance and cleaning of the burner compartment along with removing, sealing and reinstalling the inducer motor assembly the unit is working wonderfully. The customer was charged $173 saving them approximately $5327.
