The worst experience with any contractor in the last 10 years! He was working mainly on demo and tiling of two bathrooms, which was disastrous beyond belief. It also took him a month to do the demo and put a floor tile down. In that time, he also did work on dryer vent fixes, installing lights in the ceiling (crooked, but should work fine), and drywall repairs, but I'm not going to comment on those tasks - they were done reasonably well, but if you care about details, don't let him touch that, either. We should have listened to all of the recent reviews from 3 years ago to the last few customers from September-October of 2021 who complained about him on Nextdoor and elsewhere. I am determined to leave a bad review for this guy everywhere I find his name because he not only cost us the money we paid him over the course of a month of "work" he's done, but we now had to rip all of the flooring out and pay for all new materials and labor to do it right. After him, we had five different companies come over to look at his job and every single one said that they've never seen anything worse - just look at the photos. The lines are crooked, sometimes there's a double or triple the thickness of the gap between tiles, other times there's no gap at all. Glue everywhere - there's nowhere to put the grout. And there are humps under the tiles that you can build a see-saw on. If we left it like that (as he said: "It'll smooth out with grout"), someone would cut open their foot on the first day. When we pulled everything up, there was little waterproofing done, despite the fact that he used the expensive Wedi materials everywhere - under the floor tile and on the walls. One day, after four hours of "work" when there was no visible progress made and we asked him what he did, he said that he "washed the floor - twice" and put the last missing tile in. From the get-go, we smelled alcohol and talked to him about that. He's had a hard year or two due to personal issues and COVID. That's completely understandable. Everyone has their issues. We told him straight-up - we want to give you a chance. There were some really happy customers from 4-5 years ago that we even talked to on the phone. Boy, was that a mistake. The worst part is when we put all of his tools out on the lawn and talked to him when he came to pick them up, his attitude was 'it is what it is' and 'sometimes things don't work out'. He did offer to finish the job, but that really made us doubt (even more than before) that he was sober. Please save your time and money and look right past this shady 'company'. Someone else commented that even his business license and insurance are no longer valid - we were stupid not to check that before he started.
