Review by Linda Q. in Chicago, IL Project: Repair Plaster Daniel Marquardt applied "topping" joint compound to my ceilings, which left noticeable uneven waves of joint compound. Daniel also scratched my second bedroom walls with an instrument he used to sand the walls. My kitchen wall corners and sections under the cabinets were skipped over and not painted. Daniel often left paint cans unsealed and pails of joint compound uncovered all night. He receives many calls, makes calls and checks emails during working hours. I asked Daniel to refund a partial payment of $600, that I gave him because my ceilings were not smooth and not professionally finished, which he represented himself as being able to do. He informed me in an email he would refund all monies paid if I was not satisfied. On Dec 25, 2014, Intuit (payment website) sent me a message saying Daniel wanted to send me money. However, several days later via email, Daniel told me he decided not to pay me back the $600 (partial payment).
