This is a 120 year old house at least. We had to remove old sheet rock, flooring and floor joists. Washer and dryer connections were in the kitchen. We enlarged a small 3'x6' pantry to be a 18'x6' laundry room and pantry and moved all the utilities. Next we installed new floor joists, subfloor, tile, sheetrock, high end cabinets, granite, and a porch with tons of hand scrolled details. After the remodel, the the house was listed. Several written offers came in by day three. The owner got close to asking price after four days.

We gutted the entire kitchen and hallway. We originally wanted to save the plaster walls and ceilings but old leaks were rampant throughout the house and had destroyed the plaster that was hidden under wood paneling for years. We removed all the plaster, pulled up all flooring to reveal heart pine floors original to the 1904 home. We removed the ceiling to expose 11 ft ceilings that were original to the home in the kitchen and hallway. To finish ceilngs, we put bead board in the kitchen and gorgeous tiles on the hallway ceiling. Crown molding in the hallway accented the lovely ceiling. We built a floor to ceiling book case also in the hallway, added outlets and an additional light fixture and painted. In the kitchen, custom cabinets were installed, we moved all the plumbing to the other side of the kitchen, added outlets galore, and installed a gorgeous subway tile back splash.
