We were not asked to visit this property by the property owner. We were asked to do a quote as a sub contractor for another company. We were several weeks out due to being extremely busy. We had emailed/texted to say we were going to come by to see what needed to be done as a courtesy call. However, since the work was outside the home only, we typically do not bother the homeowner or request them to be home from work as we do not need access to the home.
Upon meeting the customer, he was very rude and confrontational. He spoke down to us like we were peasants and he was a king. We did a quick cursory review of the home and from our interaction realized that we had no desire to work for such a mean and rude individual. We promptly called the company that had requested us to quote the work they needed performed before they did their work and warned them of our encounter. That company also declined to work for this Gentleman.
We are human beings and should be treated with respect and dignity. Just because you live in a 2.5 million dollar home does not give you the right to treat people like garbage.
