Why are fitted sheets so difficult to fold? When it comes to doing housekeeping and organizing our linens, it shouldn’t be so challenging to fold our sheet sets. Yet I’m sure many of us try to neatly fold those rounded edged sheets and simply end up wadding them up into a ball and throwing them in the closet out of frustration. There are a lot of tutorials out there on how to neatly fold a fitted sheet but we think our video below will clear up a lot of confusion. So here’s to an organized linen closet, once and for all!

Step 1: Fold in half

Lay your fitted sheet on a flat surface and fold it in half width-wise. Notice in the video that the rounded corners are folded inward.

Step 2: Turn corners inside-out

Watch the video carefully: the upper layer corner gets turned inside out and tucked into the bottom layer corner. The seams and corners should line up.

Step 3: Fold and tuck again

Fold the sheet in half lengthwise and tuck the rounded corners inside each other. Line up all four seams and corners.

Step 4: Fold in the sides

To make this sheet a rectangle, fold in the sides about 1/3 of the way in.

Step 5: Fold like a flat sheet

Fold the rectangle in half, then half again. Now it’s ready for the linen closet! To make your closet even more organized, take the folded fitted and top sheets and place them inside the pillow case for a nice packaged look.
