About Kinesis Construction Inc
Kinesis Construction specializes in custom residential and light commercial construction. We have operated in the greater Seattle area for 35 years: as Scott Davis Company (1979 - 2000) and as Kinesis Construction, Inc. (2000 - present). Our aim is to create high quality projects with great attention to detail and disciplined architectural oversight. We are interested in constructing energy efficient structures that have the symmetry, grace, and daring that defines the most livable spaces. Our Philosophy • We aim to do an exceptional job for each and every client and then trust that the word will get around. Our Approach: • We are happy to work with your designer. However, we also can recommend designers with whom we have created many successful projects in the past. • We specialize in bringing the designer-early in the design process-the intel that they will need to be able to optimize his or her design for a particular site. • We prefer to negotiate jobs with clients, whether the contract ends up being a fixed price or time & materials. This allows us to give significant consulting time to our projects at no charge. Often, the information we provide during the design phase makes the difference between success or failure for a project. • We only build a few projects at a time. Our success is directly tied to the point that we are not overextended

We cut windows and clerestories to bring light into the building and created a free standing tower as an entry. | Queen Anne View | Jul 2005 | Remodel for owner/architect incorporating some commercial assemblies and details into a late '80s skinny house. Curtain wall was used for 3 story tall glazing in the stair well leading to the roof deck. Stair stringers were large steel C channel with custom heavy oak treads and welded flat bar railings. Richlite was used for the panel siding. Kitchen Cabinets were a custom laid up vertical grain maple. The 2 roof decks were 1200 sq.ft of ipe, over a commercial roof assembly. Exposed steel moment frame was assembled inside Living Room to provide rigidity where a shear wall was removed to open up and connect Living Room and Dining Room/Kitchen.
