Atherton Residence II

Nov 2014

Newly built from the ground up, on a lovely 2+ acre site, this estate totals 12,000 sq. ft. between the main house, guest house and garage. We collaborated closely with our client and the architect in pre-construction and project planning, and continued as a close team throughout the construction process.

Pacific Heights Remodel

Jun 2014

The project transformed the interior of this 1920s French Provincial-style home to accommodate a family of five. We completely renovated bedrooms and bathrooms for the kids and the master bathroom. A Scandinavian aesthetic informed the clean, lively palette as part of the design premise.

Bright on Presidio

Jun 2014

The simple sophistication of this white showroom belies the complex problem-solving and detailing that was required to showcase Brights full range of fixtures. We rebuilt the storefronts interior with display zones that are delineated by varied ceiling heights, and wall units whose squares can be easily adapted to accommodate floor fixtures, ceiling mount fixtures and wall sconces. A remote switching system allows the lighting to be interchangeably low voltage for LEDs, or line voltage for incandescents or fluorescents. Staff areas include an office loft, kitchenette and bathroom, as well as hidden storage behind floor and ceiling access panels.

Mission Mixed Use

Mar 2014

Working closely with the client we adapted this mixed-use building to house the owner's family and their business, a reclaimed woodworking shop, as well as desirable tenant space. We performed a seismic upgrade, added a six-car garage, created the residence and two rental units with detailed finish work, and roughed-in the storefront.

Cole Valley Residence

Jan 2014

Built on a tight lot in San Francisco, this original two story house over undeveloped basement was raised about two feet to make room for a new garage, mud room, wine room and family room. Some of the unique features include a main entry hallway with two parlors that were original to the house, open to one another to be perceived as one space. On the top floor, the two secondary bedrooms host an original alternating tread ladder that leads to a mezzanine. All three stories of the house were conceived to offer its owners a visual connection with the outdoor space. Upgrades include the addition of a third floor and complete facade restoration with new windows, trim and shingles.

Every surface of this luxurious pied-a-terre was constructed with the highest level of craft and care for a client who loves to entertain. A complete build-out of a hilltop mid-rise apartment with a spectacular view, we worked closely with the architect and design team to detail the custom finishes and whimsical features throughout.

Comprehensive Apartment Remodel - Russian Hill Apartment

Jan 2013

With one of the most all-encompassing views in San Francisco, this apartment was built for our clients to enjoy as much of the view as possible from all vantage points in the space. Starting with infrastructure updates, we opened the apartment up to the base building's concrete slabs and replaced all the mullioned windows with single-pane insulated glass. Areas within the space are defined by eucalyptus cabinetry elements, as well as floor-to-ceiling sliding pocket doors that offer the ability to segment the space as needed for public and private living. The entire apartment is controlled by Control 4 and Homeworks, with the Owners as knowledgeable contributors to the systems.
