| Red Oak Hardwood Install, Stain & Finish | Jul 2018 | Homeowner was unhappy with their existing linoleum floor and was ready for a change! Step one was removing all existing the linoleum and also some carpet and prepping the subfloor for the new hardwood install. The full removal for 1200 sq ft. of flooring took approximately 2 full days. During the duration of demolition, the home owner chose the flooring the desired and saved some money ordering the materials themselves (Underlayment is provided by Peaco Hardwood Floors at no cost). We let the lumber acclimate for 2 days and the install began! Installation took approximately 4 full days. Would also like to note that we did not have to remove any appliances, just moved them to install where they sat and then back so the homeowners had full access to their kitchen throughout the entire install! Once the install was complete, we covered the entire fresh floor with wood filler to fill in any minor seams or nail holes. After the filler was dry we sanded the floor to guarantee a level surface and applied an even coat of stain. This process took approximately 1 full day. The next day we began the coating process using oil based polyurethane. The process of laying 3 level coats of finish took 3 full days. Also to note, during the coating process there can be no foot traffic on the floor. Customer is very happy with their new floor! | $12k | West Henrietta, NY |
