This was our first big remodel, and though we had specific ideas of what we wanted, it was obvious that we could not handle it ourselves. The project consisted of a new front porch with a mudroom underneath and access into the basement. We then finished the basement which included living space, a kitchenette, full bath, and a gas fireplace. We interviewed a few architects, but realized early on that Darrell was the right choice for us. He was quick to respond to our inquiry and set up a meeting. The whole process was laid out to us in a clear and concise manner, no surprises. Darrell listened to our ideas and made very good drawings for our project. Every one of our concerns was addressed and often improved upon. He helped with our zoning variance and pointed us in the right direction for a great contractor. He visited the site several times during construction to make sure that all was going well and offered suggestions which led to further improvements. The end result is everything we wanted and more. Darrell was a pleasure to work with; creative, honest, and diligent. We highly recommend Darrell and would use him again in a heartbeat. Job well done!

Darrell worked with us to design a quilt studio over our garage. His suggestions were wonderful, better than the idea I originally had planned. By adding a bumped out window seat to the front, he changed the whole look from a box on top of the garage to a beautiful room. His suggestion of a walk in closet for my fabric and supplies was the ultimate suggestion. I'm happy to say, I have filled it! He was easy to work with and listened to what I needed. I would highly recommend Darrell to anyone looking to improve their home.
