An experienced general contractor knows the ins and outs of the construction business. They understand how to structure a project and work with subcontractors to get projects completed safely, and on schedule. This leaves the day-to-day decisions to someone with more experience.

The licensing rules in some states require hiring a general contractor for certain projects. If the state doesn't require a general contractor in your case, it makes good sense to hire a licensed and insured local contractor.

remove & dispose of existing damaged siding on both gabled ends of dormer. 5/8 fir T1-11 new siding installed to be stained 2 coats Cabot semi-solid stain- new corner boards and rake boards installed to match those removed for siding installation. Rake boards to be wrapped in aluminum; all work to be done according to accepted business practices & in timely fashion.
