We are careful not to dictate style to our clients. Diversity of design insures that we realize each client's ideal living environment. "I believe one's home should be a deep reflection into who they are. People have opinions, tastes and needs, but sometimes have trouble articulating what they want when it comes to the style and design of their home. My job is to discover what those needs and desires are and translate them into textiles, colors, furniture, accessories, and most importantly, space plan. A good flow to a house can completely change the vibe and energy of a home. | Encino | Jun 2012 | Located in the San Fernando Valley outside Los Angeles, this 1940's ranch style home was reconfigured entirely by HOUSEplay Interiors to accommodate a family of 5 and their bustling lifestyle. Constantly entertaining, often hosting 60 person sit-down dinners, the family needed to open up the space and add 1800 square feet. There are 3 children's bedrooms, a Master Suite and Maid Quarters, plus sports court and added outdoor patio. The family wanted to keep a sense of history and comfort while incorporating all the latest amenities. A Feng Shui Expert was utilized to consult, especially in the bedrooms. | Los Angeles, CA | ||

HOUSEplay Interiors reconfigured the house plan, raised the roof and added 800 square feet thus opening up space to better accommodate entertaining of friends and family. The kitchen has all the latest amenities but still keeps the an old antique feel. It includes a butcher block island with seating for 8, refrigeration drawers, large built-in pantry behind custom doors, desk and direct access to large outdoor eating area. | Los Angeles, CA | ||

The original house was dark with faux painted walls and heavy architectural details. HOUSEplay reconfigured the floor plan by opening up the former Laundry, alley-style Kitchen and Breakfast Room into one large area. An in-kitchen Butler's Pantry was also added to accommodate the collection of Hermes serving ware. An unused space under the stairs was converted into a Powder Room. She is busy in real estate and charity events while he runs a marketing company. A new Family Room, Breakfast Room, Home Office, Master Suite were added and their grown children's bedrooms were updated into guest rooms.
