It was time for our customer to adjust to their changing needs for the kitchen and dining area. Removing walls to open up the area gave way too many finished options: modified the spray texture ceilings to knock-down creating a clean, sleek look; installed custom self-closing cabinets to make use of every area; canned lighting; beautiful laminate counter tops with granite appeal; integral sink in laminate top; highly-durable, scratch resistant stone laminate flooring; and contemporary tile back splash. Man Cave on a Budget

May 2015

One of the attractions when purchasing this home was the large unfinished addition on the back of the garage. Perfect for a MAN CAVE! One problem …. during the winter, snow melts off the cars and water would seep into this unfinished area. Ogle Construction and Maintenance Services came up with the idea to divide the rooms with a concrete bump like you see in parking lots. This stopped any water from spilling over into his man cave and is also strong enough to drive over if ever needed. The walls were finished, inexpensive lighting and affordable carpet squares installed, and many existing materials were reused and re-purposed. The rooms were also divided with a heavy industrial curtain for holding in heat or air conditioning, and blocking dust and garage smells so these separate spaces that could be temperature controlled. This economical project resulted in a large multi-use area for the homeowner to entertain family and friends, relax and watch TV, use the exercise equipment or work on the computer. Whether it’s a Man Cave, basement remodel, or kitchen upgrade, Ogle Construction works together with you and your budget. Please contact us at 612-424-1490. No project is too big or too small.

Leaky Basement Renovation

Mar 2015

Leaks in the basement? Signs of water damage? Sound familiar? This is exactly why the homeowner called Ogle Construction. With hopes of someday remodeling their basement, they had a significant problem to deal with first. Water was coming in their basement, causing damage throughout, leaving it damp and smelly. After a thorough investigation was done, the backed up floor drain was caused by a crack in an obsolete drain tile, leaks in the foundation, and cracks in the sewer drain pipe running out to the street. Additionally, poor ventilation and electrical wiring were discovered, presenting a big safety risk for the homeowners. “Ogle Construction is not about quick-fixes. We do things right!” says Brian Ogle, Owner or Ogle Construction and Maintenance Services. After the drain tile was fixed, the entire area was re-insulated and finished with new sheet rock, trim, carpet and lighting. The electrical system was updated and a new laundry/storage room, and guest bedroom were created. What was once a damp, smelly basement, is now a fresh, clean living area for the family to enjoy. “The reality is, everyone has a budget and it is important!” says Ogle. “These homeowners had a problem, a dream and a budget. We worked together with all three, came up with solutions and our clients are pleased with the results.”
