Curtiss Construction Company was recommended to us by neighbors and owners of rental property who repeatedly chose this company to complete remodeling and repair work. In recent years we have selected Curtiss Fiechtner to lead his team of craftsmen to remodel our kitchen and three bathrooms with new quartz countertops, shower tile, floor tile, sinks, faucets, and all that entails. A couple of years later Curtiss Construction Company was called upon to remove and install 25 high dollar exterior windows and dual garage door framing. Using the latest and best construction techniques this work was completed with remarkable quality and improvement that has prevented wooden dry rot and reduced our heating bill. Laundry room flooring was replaced with porcelain tile that extended through the doorway and into the garage and landing. This significant improvement and unique design is clearly identifiable as high quality workmanship. At the same time, carpeting in the home office was replaced with porcelain tile using an On Point design. The result was elegant, to say the least. During demolition our experience was a systematic and careful dismantling of existing systems, and structure, with temporary floor covering to prevent damage, soiling, and staining. Work crews were careful and respectful of our home during all projects. All projects were completed, on time, and on budget. We have had several opportunities to work with Curtiss Construction and we could not be happier with the experience. Our first project was a remodel on a 1960 cabin. With very tight parameters he was able to transcend a very dated interior into a very comfortable and cozy guest house. The next project was construction of a two story, 5000 square foot custom home. The floor plan was very complex, calling for 38 foot trusses in the great room, 17 foot ceilings and a myriad of unique design features. There wasn't anything Curtiss couldn't handle. We have been in our house for two years now and thanks to his building skills have a home that impresses our visitors and brings us great joy. He is a hands on builder who doesn't accept anything but perfection. He is innovative, knowledgeable and multitalented with years of experience in construction. Not only does he build quality homes, but he is a dependable and honest contractor who I would recommend without reservation.

Our rental house built in 1965 required a total remodel. Normally I would do everything myself but this remodel required more man hours than anticipated. Curtiss was recommended by a friend who also had an extremely positive experience with a kitchen remodel. For our project because I still wanted to complete as much as possible myself, Curtiss and I worked an agreement he would charge time plus materials. Curtiss and his crew worked hard installing all new cabinets and vanities, recessed lighting, extensive sheet rock repair, bathroom tiling, ceiling fans, wall texturing, painting, installed baseboard mouldings, and generally kept busy doing everything I did not have time for. Workmanship was excellent, on time, and hours billed fair and documented. Curtiss thinks out of the box, recommending common sense and practical solutions to unexpected problems.
