We originally quoted the Mathis to remove the paneling off the walls, remove carpet and pad . Then Install a premium vinyl hardwood plank flooring (very nice) create a bedroom with a walk-in closet in the basement, Sheetrock all the walls and ceiling.Remove a 6'0" x 3'-0" window in the block wall, Install a 6'-0" Anderson French-wood Glider Patio Door. Remove a 3'-0" Exterior door, close up the lower half of the opening and install a 3'-0" Anderson window. Remove and Replace Glass in Basement Hopper Windows with Single Pane Reeded Glass, Reglaze Glass in Frame and Paint Windows With Semi-Gloss Paint to Match Trim. Remove Stairs, Replace Treads with Oak Stair Treads and new Risers Painted white, Install Newel Post and Oak Railing and Polyurethane all Oak with 3 coats. After removing the paneling we found no insulation in the studded walls and were happy to install insulation for them. There was a foul odor in the basement after working there we discovered the venting system in the plumbing was drawing the water from the sink trap allowing sewer gas to enter the home. We re-plumbed the drain line eliminating the foul odor the owners were very happy to be able to safely use the basement again. As the project progressed the owners were so impressed with the quality of our work they doubled the amount of work by completely renovating the bathroom including tile, remove vanity installing a Kohler pedestal sink, new toilet , removing old shower , installing a shower pan with ceramic tile walls, insert in wall, glass tile border with black pencil liner, OVE shower door (3/8" thick frame-less glass), several wall sconces, Pin Wheel tile floor with black insert and we tiled all the bathroom walls 4'-0" high with 3" x 6" white subway tile with glass border to match. We also moved piping in wall and framed out an area for a recessed medicine cabinet. Many recessed lights, relocated and Installed ceiling fans and many electrical outlets along with new electric breakers. We also installed all new Cayman style doors, 6" baseboard with shoe molding and beautiful 6" crown molding. All walls were painted with Sherwin Williams Eggshell paint, Semi-gloss finish in bathroom and Accent wall in bedroom. We also rewired some vintage wall sconce lighting they were kind enough to find.

This was a water damage restoration. A pipe burst in the upstairs bathroom and flooded the bathroom and kitchen. It continued to flood the finished basement living area, and laundry room. It had extensive damage to the sheet rock walls, ceiling in the finished basement, laminate floors, bathroom cabinets, carpeting. This project had a little of everything that had to be done.
