Stacie & Mike - Johnson County Resident

Apr 2015

These customers were a blast to work with! This project consisted of many things. We tore out carpet in the dining room and laced in raw red oak flooring. We had to shave down the subfloor in order to make the dining room level again. We also fixed all the squeaks in the subfloor! The stairs got completely tore down including all the balusters, handrails, and newels. Our team did a fantastic job installing the new treads, risers, handrails, newels, landings, and balusters. Stacie & Mike choose a blend of classic grey, weathered oak, and provential. This created a very unique color that blended perfectly into their home. They choose a semi-gloss industrial finish for their shine.

Kansas University Fraternity House

Aug 2014

Our team had the luxury of servicing this old beauty! We traveled our crews down to Lawrence Kansas to refinish a fraternity house. This old place was just a huge bunkhouse with over 3,000 square feet of red oak hardwoods to be sanded. This project consisted of refinish and a fancy inlay of their fraternity crest. This inlay had a unique walnut border and letters. This project took our team four days to complete. The stain color is natural with a semi-gloss finish.

This is the oldest house we have ever worked in! The home is one of the original farms in Higginsville built in 1903. The entire house has pine hardwoods on the floor as well as all the trim work. We tore out three layers of glued-down linoleum in the kitchen and bathroom. After the tear out we noticed an old wall that was in the kitchen floor. This area had to be taken out and new pine flooring laced in. Our team had to crosscut the entire floor to make the hardwoods level again. We burned through enough sand paper to last us for twenty jobs! We sanded the floor with five passes in order to get all the old finish off. The customer selected a red chestnut stain color with a semi-gloss industrial finish. After eight days this project was completed for the town to see!
