Sometimes bigger isn’t always better! Our Lawnside, NJ customer had a large deck that had overtaken her backyard. She was interested in scaling down and reclaiming some of her yard space. Our deck installation team removed the existing structure and set to work constructing a new deck with a smaller footprint. Check out this amazing transformation in Lansdale, PA. Our customer reached out to us about replacing his patio awning. It had taken a beating in the weather over the years and our homeowner needed to replace it with something a little more substantial and aesthetically pleasing. Enter NexGen Exterior Home Remodeling’s professional porch installation services! Our team installed 6×6 posts and wrapped them in white PVC. The next step was framing the roof with 2x6s and topping it off with CertainTeed Landmark shingles in Slate. The interior ceiling was created by using tongue and groove boards which were then stained to coordinate with the nearby fence. Our homeowner is ready to enjoy many upcoming summers under his new porch roof.

There’s nothing like a custom deck upgrade to really help you enjoy your summer. Our homeowners in Willingboro, NJ had a pressure treated, wooden deck in their backyard that had served them well over the years but was nearing the end of its life. The footers were poured, framing installed and, once both inspections were passed with flying colors, our home improvment team installed Trex Select decking in Madiera and Trex Transcend railings in the color Rope Swing. After one last successful inspection from the township, our customers are looking forward to many more summers out on their deck.

Here we have the anatomy of a deck from start to finish. Our homeowner in Branchburg, NJ opted for a brand new deck installation in his yard and chose a combination of Trex composite decking in Clamshell and pressure-treated wooden railings. When starting a deck installation project, our first step is to mark out of the footprint of the deck and note where the footers are going to be placed. The footer holes are dug according to the building code which is 36 inches. Once the inspector of the township approves the footer depth, concrete is poured to secure the footers and the framing is constructed of pressure-treated wood. Once the framing passes inspection, our deck installation team will affix the deck boards and the rails to the frame. The township inspector will stop by one more time to give the deck the final seal of approval. We love the use of pressure-treated wooden railings as it will allow our homeowners to put their own spin on the deck by painting or staining them in the future.

Our customers in Yardley, PA spent the summer revamping their backyard. After their new above ground pool was installed, NexGen Exterior Home Remodeling stepped in with our expert pool deck installation services which included privacy screens. We started by pouring footers for the posts and building the frame. Once those two items passed the township’s inspection, our pool deck installation team moved forward with installing Trex Enhance Naturals grooved decking in Toasted Sand and followed that with the Trex Signature railing system in black. Hideaway screens were installed along the back of the deck both for privacy and a finished look to tie the whole deck together.

The team at NexGen Exterior Home Remodeling started by pouring footers and building the framing out of pressure-treated lumber. The next step was installing Trex Select grooved decking in the very popular Pebble Gray color. The posts were constructed of 4x4s and the Tre Transcend post sleeves were slipped on top of them. Black Trex Transcend railings and Pebble Gray fascia board completed the look. The final touch for this porch installation was adding the Trex solar lights to the posts in order to provide a light source for our homeowner.

After removing the existing deck boards and rails, our deck installers determine that the frame was in solid shape. Using new pressure treated 2×8 boards and fresh footers, we framed out a deck extension that allowed our homeowners access to the pool from the deck.
