Our first time and wanted by-the-hour hand holding. We found nothing to serve as a starter plan to suit our lifestyle. We were a bit concerned about starting from scratch vs the typical routes of internet plans, builder plans and even drafting plan rooms. Mr. Vaughn went through our meager design folder of ideas, wishes, budget, site data, etc. as we were given room-room & other details homework to do. We thought this impossible since we could not meet in person. He assured us this was SOP for them & given 5-stars from clients never met face-face ... be they retiring from Europe, travel, scheduling, illness, etc. The 3D color communications certainly were worth "a thousand words". He also explained that most times, the face-face meetings designed to save time actually added time/fees. At conclusion, he helped us match our plans demands, our builder expectations with his insider experience that got us so happy in our new digs, one child said, Mom this is too good for us! Friends wanted to know what things cost and among all that, were surprised to learn this path costs less in total time/fees/frustration than than those quoting design $$$/SF. Imagine that - we really started with nothing concrete as a genesis. I know most don't have the time to say thank you and share good fortune. Well, this is ours - we are so happy and hope we never move.

Design from scratch saved us time, money & NO copyright lawsuits By the hour fees saved us money (ironically) tailoring our plans to suit us and NO wrestling draftsmen to get everything we needed out of their "$/sf" charges ... that turn into by-the-hour if things take too long.
