Mary Reid kitchen outlet floodlight and switch

Nov 2015

The customer was installing a new cabinet in her kitchen but it would cover the existing outlet. I informed the customer I would have to make 2 trips. First I checked all connected electrical but found that the existing countertop GFCI s weren't connected properly so I repaired these then removed the outlet that would be behind the cabinet. I informed the customer she would have to tell the installer to cut a hole the size of the outlet in back of the cabinet and I would return to install a blank cover. I then proceeded to cut a hole in the sheetrock above where the future countertop would be and fished a wire down the wall to the existing box used a cut-in box in the new location and installed an outlet. On return to the address after the cabinet install the customer wanted a floodlight on the back of her house and a switch inside by the same location. I completed this and checked all outlets in the house then labeled all circuits in her panel.
