New Truck Wrap

Sep 2018

Our family recently re-named and had a new wrap put of the truck. Everyone pitched in with the design. We all picked the new name, Elect Electric. My wife chose the new tag line and the children helped with the portion of the wrap design they are pictured with. It was a family effort. Tell us what you think.

DIY help

May 2015

The lights in the down stairs were not working. The owner looked into it themselves but could not get to the bottom of the issue. I came out to see what the issue was and confirmed that it was a hard issue to solve. I looked everywhere and knew where the problem could be but couldn't quite find the exact location. I asked the client if they had recently done any picture hanging or anything else like that. She said her husband had put up a shelf near the entry to the garage. That was the clue I needed to locate the exact location and cause of the short. Once i found it the repair was completed and the owners minds were at ease.

San Luis Obispo Skate Park

Jan 2015

If you have been to the new SLO skate park at night the work done there is obvious. I partnered with my former company ACE Electric in San Diego, CA to complete this project. They actually won the job and handled all of the biding and purchasing and contract issues while I handled all of the installation. This is a larger project then I normally take on myself but well withing my abilities to complete. This job consisted of installing a new main panel and all of the electrical services for the park. That included standing and installing the sports lights, installing all electrical outlets, timers, switches step lights and sump pump power and controls. It was a privilege to work on this community improving project. You will have to look carefully at this video to spot the electrical work but that is how electrical work is supposed to be, mostly unnoticed because it just works: https://youtu.be/qEhCRH5GQ0c

San Miguel Kitchen/bathroom Remodle.

Sep 2012

This is how under counter lighting should look! Also the client asked me to put lights in the antique gate they would use as a pot hanger over the Island so i mounted these LED puck lights for a custom finished product. On the island the client wanted easy access to power with out having to look at an ugly outlet. For that we used this pop up outlet, there when you need it and out of the way when you don't.Renovation of kitchen, bathroom and lighting in some other areas. Included can lighting, under counter lighting, island electrical installation and redistribution of existing electrical in the kitchen.

Electric Vehicle Connections

Aug 2011

As we see more and more electrical vehicles(EV) on the road the call for electrical vehicle charger connections increases. This was one of my first EV installs on the Chevy Volt. Since then I have done connections for other electric vehicles including the TESLA car. Prices very on the circumstances so give me a call for a free appointment.

Pool equipment re-do.

Jun 2011

This job was a little outside of the norm. My client had some issues with his pool pumps burning out and the pool guy thought the issue was electrical. I looked and not being a pool expert didn't see an obvious electrical issue. I set up a meeting with a pool repair person that was able to tell me what was what and how it should be working. It turned out that the installation of the pool from the beginning was not correct. I was shocked to learn what was supposed to have been installed and what was installed. The photos show a before and after and you can see there are 3 things running the pool before and after 9 components that should have been installed when the pool was constructed. My clients will bring all sorts of issue to my attention, even things I do not normally do and I always help the best I can even if that means meeting and coordinating with other trades. In this case the pool repair guy and I worked together to get a safe working pool system. The total cost I am not aware of as I did not know the pool repair companies costs.

In the Cypress Ridge community at Arroyo Grande, CA a client wanted to update the old white outlets and switches with new designer colors outlets and dimmers. We completed a total makeover adding dimming to all the rooms and a device color that made the home go from average to accomplished. It made a big impression on the clients and they still love it.

Bank of Americal ATM repair

Jul 2014

Ehinger Electric also works for some national companies doing ATM repairs locally. Here is a job completed for the service provider of B of A. Because we are a third party these jobs take a good amount of coordination and communication. We never actually meet the client but handle all transactions via email. If you are out of the area it is no problem for us to get the work you need done even if we never meet.
