With the help of Stuart Silk Architects, this two-acre property needed a home that would look like it had been there forever. Nestled perfectly amongst towering pines, the home was designed with quality and classic details in mind. Large mouldings, paneling, built-ins and wide plank flooring were used throughout. Leed certification was obtained by use of non-toxic, natural materials and locally sourced materials. Flooring even came from trees on the property that were felled, dried and milled.

A Craftsman full re-model took this tired, outdated home to the studs, and updated everything from the ground up. The only element that was salvaged was the white and blue hex flooring that the homeowners adored. In-set cabinetry, extensive paneling and classic mouldings were finish details that made this house feel like it belonged in the Hamptons.

A family with two young boys who just purchased a beautifully crafted home in Woodway knew it was in need of updating. They wanted to brighten the interior and were not afraid of adding color or pattern to liven up the space. After taking down one wall in the entry, painting and adding wallpaper through out, re-staining ceiling beams, repainting ceramic base boards, and adding decor, you can see the family's home has a lot of character!

With baby number 1 on the way, this young couple wanted a retreat that was peaceful and serene. I focused on their panoramic view of the puget sound and reflected the colors of the beach back into this space. When I revealed the space to the expectant parents they said they felt like they were at a 5 star hotel (without the room service of course).

An avid baker looked to update their outdated kitchen. A full re-model was in order, and the kitchen was taken down to the studs and updated from the sub-floor up. Custom cabinets, new flooring, appliances, tile, solid stone counters, and lighting were installed. In order to achieve an updated floor plan, the wall that once seperated the kitchen and dining room was removed and built-in display cabinets were used to define the two rooms while keeping sight lines open.

A guest house was desired for visiting friends and family that would make guests feel like they were heading off to camp again! An Adirondack design approach was taken and a old Pendelton blanket became the basis for the color scheme. Trees from the property were milled into thick wood countertops and rustic flooring. Rustic yet refined materials were used throughout. Modern appliances were stealthily hidden behind custom cabinet panels. Old-school push button light switches and custom twig tile from Ann Sacks are the details that make the 'camp' experience complete.
