I live in Chantilly and hired Taylored Improvements to install a drainage system and a small deck in my backyard. Soon after the work was completed I realized that the drainage was far worse than before, and the subcontractor they hired to do the work was not qualified, nor had there been any oversight on Taylored Improvements end. Long story short, this entire experience has been a nightmare, the owner stated they wanted the chance make this right when I requested a partial refund, yet has stopped responding to all emails or calls. Along with this, the owner has not felt it necessary to visit the property to see the damage and try to understand my frustration. My complaints with this company go much further than what I have shared, but I strongly encourage anyone who is considering hiring Taylored Improvements to reconsider. I am out thousands of dollars and I’m still stuck with a backyard that is in worse condition than before the work began. This is no way to run a business.

We reached out for a bid on our 203(k) project, at which time we were ensured that Taylored Improvements had done this before and this would not be a problem. We asked specifically about their funds, and if they could float money, as the 203(k) program works on a draw based system, and they ensured us this would not be a problem We proceeded based on that assumption and did not question their integrity based on their online presence, which made us feed very at ease. We finally reviewed bids from all contractors and hired Taylored as we thought they brought quality at an affordable price and set forth an aggressive timeline, which were all attractive to us. Although the estimate was a week later than Adam told us he would have it, when he submitted it we were satisfied. We hired Adam and Taylored and told them that we would like to exclusively work with them, at which time Adam seemed very pleased, as were we. We signed a letter of intent with Taylored Improvements at this time, signifying our intent to proceed. As time progressed, we had specific requirements we needed met to hit milestones for the 203(k) process, specifically in regards to the bidding forms being filled out, and drawings being created, for the HUD 203(k) consultant managing oversight of the project in regards to the loan. Adam had ample time to raise any concerns he may have had throughout the course of the engagement. We spoke a lot in the last week and he ensured me that the requirements for the HUD 203(k) consultant would not be a problem. Today, Adam reached out to the 203(k) consultant and my significant other, to inform them that he would not be able to continue. When I had the opportunity to speak with Josh, who had not been involved this entire time, he said that we did not fit his 'risk profile' at this time, and they would not be able to move forward. After many assurances from Adam throughout the course of the engagement, I still have not heard back from him in regards to this matter. We worked with Taylored for approximately 2 months, and they walked away after we signed a letter of intent, the day before the draft of costs was to be submitted so the appraisal could be ordered. Consequently, this has put us in a terrible position and our entire home purchase is now in jeopardy. Adam and Josh may be for you if you're willing to blindly trust them and sign Change Orders throughout the course of the project. Their work might even be great, I'll never know. What I do know is that these men are cowards and their word is worth nothing. I would not recommend doing business with Tayored if you have any other options.
We were very pleased
The project manager Adam was very professional and was able to provide answers and solutions in a timely manner.
