Frisco Doggy Fence

Jan 2014

This client was seeking a strong, durable and eye appealing iron fence to separate the back yard into two zones. One for her toddler to play in the yard and on his swing set, and one for their family dogs to be able to do their business. The client had initially hired another contractor to install a fence that they thought they wanted, but as soon as they saw the low quality fence that was going to be installed they contacted me. I went to their home for a free consult, took some detailed measurements and gave them a very competitive estimate for a much higher quality fence. I fabricated a 3 foot tall iron fence, built like a security fence. With 2" 14 gauge powder coated posts locking in 1" 14 gauge rails and 5/8" 14 gauge balusters, there was no chance of their pups breaking free into the play area. A 4' wide walk-through gate with self-closing hinges and lockable latch was installed for an easy and safe transition from the porch to the play area. The self-closing hinges ensured that in the chance their toddler forgot to shut the gate, the family pets would still be restricted from their son's domain. The posts were sunk deep at three feet and surrounded by high tensile strength concrete to keep the fence plumb and level, despite the tenacious ever-shifting North Texas soil. The client was extremely happy with the outcome and certainly was happy that she chose to hire Lonestar Fence and Railing to fabricate and install her fence, instead of the lower quality fence she ALMOST had installed.

Highland Village Custom Iron Child Safety Fence

Jan 2014

This client came to us with a problem. They had an existing wooden privacy fence that led into an existing iron fence that protected them from falling off of the 8 foot drop off at the rear of their back yard. They had removed the wooden fence and wished to have a matching iron fence built to tie into the existing iron fence. I assured the client that it would not be a problem. I matched the existing fence exactly to each detail. The 4 foot tall decorative iron fence was powder coated for a beautiful and long lasting finish. The 2" 14 gauge powder coated steel posts were anchored to the massive rock wall with heavy duty 3/8" steel wedge anchors. They also had a not so sturdy hand rail that went down the 13 feet of stairs that led to the grassy area below the back yard. The client has a toddler and I was concerned about him using the stairs with the hand rail in the condition that it was, so for good measure I added some 1 1/4" square tubing to match the existing at no charge. Doing so greatly strengthened the hand rail making the homeowner feel much safer about a descent into the lower grassy area.

Sanger Pool Fence

Jan 2013

Custom fabricate and install 240 linear feet of decorative iron fencing to add beauty and security to homeowner's pool area. A rather large build and install compared to most pool fence jobs, as this homeowner lives on acreage and wanted to capture a tranquil yet safe pool and play area for his family. 100% custom cut and MIG welded 14 gauge 3/4" steel pickets ran inside of 1x2" punched C-Channel rails made for one beautiful iron fence that is incredibly strong and will certainly last this family a lifetime. Panels were hung on 11 gauge 2"x2" Steel posts that were sunk 3 feet below grade and surrounded by Maximizer concrete for ultimate strength in order to combat the ever shifting North Texas Soils. The homeowner actually said, "Brian, this fence totally exceeds what we had expected".

Blue Mound Entry Gate

Jan 2013

Homeowner wanted to add security and a touch of Texas to his front access to the rear parking garages. We custom fabricated a 12 feet wide by 7 feet tall single swing gate with a giant arch in the middle and a Texas sized 24" plasma cut Lone Star in the center. The 1 1/2" 14 gauge MIG welded steel rails were paired with 3/4" 14 gauge steel pickets to provide extra strong protection from would-be intruders. 1/4" 4"x4" posts were used to assure plenty of strength to hold the beefy gate plumb and level. Extra heavy-duty 7" steel hinges with stainless steel ball bearings were used for a smooth transition from open to closed position. The entire project was powder coated in black to have the ultimate long term durable finish.
