John Barton Architect has been serving residential clients for over 20 years in the Bay Area and Lake Tahoe regions. We specialize in both custom residential additions as well as custom homes. We are proponents of the appropriate sized solutions and feel that an appropriate, well-designed project is much better than a "bigger is better" approach. Bigger is not always better. Well-Designed is better!!! We spend time exploring what you really want to accomplish and then develop multiple alternative solutions for your review. We then listen to your feedback, and revise our initial concepts, working towards a solution that solves your functional, aesthetic needs while mindful of your economic and logistical constraints. We are well versed in most bay area jurisdictions, especially Fremont as well as South Lake Tahoe. We are a small firm and you will work directly with John. Your project will not be handed off to a junior designer. John will work with you from start to finish. He will coordinate any other consultants that may be needed and you will not have to deal with the Building Department. We take pride in our ability to make your project, as special as it can be.
