  | INTERIOR HOUSE REMODEL WEST SACRAMENTO | Apr 2014 | This was a whole house remodel from the sub-floor to the paint on the walls. It began with the replacement of the entire subfloor and floor joists that were dry rot. The drain lines and copper water lines were re-plumbed. All windows were replaced with dual pane windows, two exterior doors were relocated and replaced and all interior doors were reokaced with six-panel interior doors. Two AC wall units were removed and replaced with a central heating and air system. The entire house was rewired to bring it up to code and installed a new electric meter panel. The wall between the kitchen and living room was torn down to create a feeling of a great room in a small house. The bathroom was remodeled with the installation of a new bathtub, vanity, toilet and custom-tile shower surround. All the interior and exterior lighting was replaced with new fixtures and new ceiling fans were added throughout the house. In addition, LED can lights were installed to brighten up the kitchen. The majority of sheetrock required replacing and retexturing to match the existing texture. The entire interior and exterior of the house was painted. New laminate, vinyl flooring and base board was installed throughout the house. The kitchen was completely remodeled with new plywood-constructed cabinets, custom fabricated granite countertops, under mount sink, gooseneck faucet, stainless steel appliances, glass tile backsplash and under cabinet lights. As a finishing touch new redwood fencing was installed around the sides and back of the property and a wrought-iron fence and gate were installed in the front of the property; new gutters were installed; and the landscaping was brightened up with new sod, redwood mulch and a irrigation system. Overall this project ran fairly smooth. A few unforeseen issues arose with the subflooring and electrical, but they were resolved quickly and positively.
