We selected Edgar and GreenTeam for our backyard project to install a retaining wall, re-grade our lawn, install a sprinkler system, lay down new topsoil, reseed, install a small planter wall in our front yard and re-grade the front and side of our lawn. While the project started off well, during the project Edgar became difficult to stay in contact with and in the end all we have is a fine retaining wall and regraded backyard. His miss-management resulted in abandoning all of the work in our front yard, requiring us to invest money to fix areas his team took up before realizing they never provided samples to choose from. The sprinkler system never worked, despite his assurances it would. We’ll have to reseed again in the fall. In the end, half the project came out well, the other half did not. For the money we paid, that should not be the case. It’s important to have a contractor that communicates and can complete a project. By the end Edgar was unable to do either. I had to work very hard just to get dates and details. Unfortunately, Edgar used our project to convince one of our neighbors he could handle a project for them. He left in the middle of the project and they were forced to find another contractor to complete the job. In addition, the neighbors who recommended him to us also had issues and no longer recommends him. There are better landscaping companies that are more responsive and offer a higher quality of work. Find one of those companies. Don’t make the same mistake we did.
