This Customer wanted to be able to sit on her back patio and watch the birds and have her morning coffee. The way this house sits it gets sun all day and can get very hot sitting on the patio. We picked a Cedar Pergola to give it a natural country feel and still let in light but shades most of the day. The Pergola is built out of Western Cedar so it will last for years to come and looks very nice. Now this client can sit, have coffee and enjoy the birds and flowers under her new Pergola.

This job started out as a 1 day job and turned into a 1 week job. This deck was built about 20 years ago with Doug Fur. With all the moisture from being close to Beaver Lake and from weather the deck was basically 75 percent rot. The way that it was built with a border and the deck boards butted up against the border all the moisture was being trapped at the joints and causing rot from the inside out so it couldn't be seen in all the boards from the surface. Once we started taking out some of boards we found that the beams that the deck was built on had suffered some rot in places as well. The house was built on piers and laminated beams hold the weight of the house and extend out to support the deck. After repairing the beams we replaced all the joists and deck boards with treated lumber which we will be staining at a later date. We decided to use cable railing instead of wood to give it an open fill and to not block the view of the lake. It will also last longer then the traditional wood balusters. The cables we used are stainless steel and we decided to not buy the kits because of the cost so we used I bolts and turn buckles to tighten cables. I personally like this look better then using the kits that be purchased. When we finished the owner got a new deck that is safe for him and his family to enjoy for years to come.

This deck is at a rent house that I take care of. The owner called me and said they need a new deck on one of the rentals they own and would like to make the new deck a little bigger. The old deck was a 8x10 and the new deck I built is a 8x12. The new deck is built with all treated lumber and was built well but to fit a budget because its a rental. The old deck was just to old and the frame and handrails were starting to fall apart. This was a one day job.

This Customer bought this house new and wanted to spruce the front up a little but wanted her house to be different then all the other houses on the street. So I built z style shutter. These are built out of Western Cedar so they will last along time and they look amazing.

This customer owns a Restaurant in Fayetteville and it was in need of a make over. The Cedar siding was very weathered and needed repaired. I decided to get the repairs done before power washing and cleaning the siding because of the cold weather then come back on a warmer week to wash and stain. Most of the siding needed some type of attention because it had been so long since it had been cleaned and stain. After cleaning the building we let it dry for a couple of days before staining. The stain we used was Cedar Bark from Sherwin Williams that the owner picked out and I have to say it turned out very nice. We applied 2 coats of stain to get the coverage we needed. This customer was very pleased with how the siding turned out. TIP- After washing and staining your fence or deck following the manufactures directions. Clean with deck cleaner and wash with low pressure once a year and it will prolong the life of your stain and fence or deck.

This bathroom was in bad need of a make over. When we started the demo, we noticed that the old tub/shower enclosure was cracked and had been leaking through the bottom for awhile, so it had to be cut out to inspect the damage. After removing the old tub I found that it was a good decision to remove it because the moisture had caused the cement slab to crack from the cold air coming in around the bottom wall plate and freezing and thawing. We were able to fix the small crack and insulate around the outside wall to stop the air from coming in. The bathroom was a standard 5x8 and didn't have a lot of light so being that it is on a outside wall we decided to add a small frosted privacy window above the shower. The tile on the floors was in very good shape and fit well with the design and colors so we left it. The old popcorn texture on ceiling had to be scraped off and orange peel texture was sprayed to give a clean smooth look. I installed a new bathtub and wonder board, then 3 coats of waterproofing was added to give better protection. I installed a 12x24 light grey porcelain slate tile for the shower walls with a bullnose to give a finished look. The walls and ceiling was painted with Behr and Valspar paint. We added a low water flow Jacuzzi toilet. A new free standing vanity with granite top and matching mirror was the installed. To finish the bathroom off we added a nice nickel 4" can light above shower, Moen fixtures, corner stand for shampoo and soaps in shower, new light above sink and a nice shower curtain to match the design. This customer was very happy with the work and time it took to do the remodel.

This Customer wanted a bookshelf that would hold a lot of weight and have a retro look to match the house that they had just designed and built. They had an entire wall that they wanted to incorporate the shelving into. Of coarse pipe shelving is the first thing we thought of because of its retro look, strength and uniqueness. I picked this style because I could mount each flange to a stud to give it the strength we were looking for. The wood is Popular 1x12 that I sanded and the customer wanted to add a clear coat to later.

This customer was having trouble walking up and down the stairs in her garage. The problem was the old brick steps were not built to code, they were built with about 8 1/2" risers making it very hard for this client to get from her house to her garage. I designed a ramp to fit her needs and budget. I built it out of 2x4 or 2x6 lumber for strength and added smooth sanded 3/4" plywood to the landing and ramp, this way there is no joints to trip over or for a walker to hang up on. I then added a round handrail to the wall with extra brackets mounted to studs. I topped it off with 2 coats of Valspar primer and 2 coats of Valspar Anti Skid Paint. This customer was very happy with the ramp and that she can easily walk up and down without having to worry about the steps that were there. (built to code with a 1 to12 pitch)
