Picnic Party

Everyone loves a picnic, it can turn even the simplest meal into an adventure.  Both the adults and kids can relax, chit-chat, fill their bellies and stay entertained with outdoor activities. This picnic inspired party was styled for our family reunion, which was also doubling as my grandmother's 80th birthday celebration.  Since we were having a potluck BBQ the day of her birthday I decided to go with a fun picnic theme and set up the display table to incorporate lots of summer picnic … [Continue reading...]

Firecracker Cupcake Toppers

Here is another simple idea to add a little pizzazz to your 4th of July celebration. These firecracker cupcakes were inspired by the beautiful cake from The TomKat Studio's 4th of July party.  I loved the sparklers on top of the cake and decided to make some for the cupcakes we'll be serving at our BBQ.You only need 5 things and 10 minutes to make these cupcake toppers.  I used red and blue striped straws, sparkler picks (left over from this project last year), cupcake wrappers from Amanda's … [Continue reading...]

Lil Buckaroo Baby Shower

Lil Buckaroo Baby Shower_GG

I adore rustic, country charm and think the muted colors and simple details make an excellent party theme.  So I was thrilled when my aunt asked me to help with some of the design details for my cousin's "Lil' Buckaroo" cowboy themed baby shower. My favorite element was the custom fabric banner I made, the old ladder used to display mason jars with lemonade and the charming cupcake toppers. This shower was being held in Utah and I was basically sending a "party in a box" full … [Continue reading...]
