Texas has a long standing tradition of celebrating Cinco de Mayo and it’s a great excuse to gather friends to celebrate!
I set up a simple table with a Fiesta banner from Piggy Bank Parties and the popular Mexican drink Jarritos tied with striped straws and Fiesta tags from Anders Ruff.
I spent most of the afternoon focusing on hanging out with our friends so I didn’t get pictures of everything, but we had a great time and ate delicious food! We made homemade salsa and pico from our garden. I made a HUGE batch of guacamole, my favorite thing about Mexican food! I also made my first batch of homemade rice and beans and I was surprised at how easy and delicious they were! And my husband made some killer fajitas. It was a fun afternoon hanging out with friends and enjoying great company.
Did you celebrate Cinco de Mayo? Do you have a favorite Mexican food or tradition you incorporate in your Fiesta?

I had a little dessert Fiesta (up on the blog Monday) and would you believe I left the Jarritos in the fridge? ugh! We ended up drinking virgin watermelon margaritas which everyone loved. Your little Fiesta is so cute!
