It’s that time of year – the birds are chirping, the sun is shining, and everyone spends time outside! I’m having so much fun with Isaac outside during his first spring! He discovered grass the other day (see the pic here) – let’s just say he wanted to eat our whole yard- so silly!
We’re working on beautifying our outdoor spaces without spending too much money – it’s tight after working on our kitchen remodel!
I had fun picking up some inexpensive Lawn and Garden supplies at Dollar General – and I didn’t have to feel guilty about what I was paying!
I didn’t realize that Dollar General had supplies for potting plants:
I got the cutest planters (and that adorable chevron candle holder) while I was there too:
Ahh I seriously love the bright colors and fun patterns! So welcome after this very long and dreary winter.
I also picked up this cute door mat – and please look at Buckley at the door – he hates it when we’re outside without him!!
I have always admired those big fluffy planters in other front porches – so I finally got one for our house! I get all of my plants at our local produce junction – they’re really inexpensive there!
Can we pause this for a minute and see how cute my little helper looked while we were putting out all of our new spring decorations?
The spring jacket + the old man socks just kills me!! I love that little guy. He had fun snuggling with my mom on the front porch:
Happy spring, friends! Make sure you check out Dollar General on Facebook and on Twitter for more spring inspiration!

Very pretty and inviting porch. We just moved last November and are redoing a fixer upper. It has a small front porch that I’m looking forward to decorating. There’s just something really important about a front porch looking good.
