This project included the removal of the original second story deck and first floor patio installed by the home builder and the installation of a larger deck and patio. The new deck included the Dek Drain system to create a dry space below, AZEK PVC decking, camo and cortex hidden fastening systems, crystalite glass railing, and Kichler LED lighting.

This Azek PVC deck replaced an original aging cedar deck that was rotting, and a maintenance nightmare. Materials include AZEK PVC decking in "Morado", camo hidden fasteners, Fastenmaster Cortex hidden fasteners, Crystalite aluminum railing, Timberech LED lighting, and vinyl privacy lattice.

This was a 2 phase project, including an 1800 square foot addition, a 270 square foot addition, 20'x34' deck and a whole house remodel and reconfiguration. Upgrades throughout the existing home include complete rewire and re-plumb, all new insulation, solid core doors, oak flooring, 5 piece master bath, Knotty alder kitchen and granite counters in kitchen and baths. The entire house, existing and new received a new roof and fiber cement siding. The new addition boasts an accessible apartment complete with a wheelchair ramp, walk-in tub in the bathroom and a kitchenette. There is also a new office, laundry/mud room and mechanical room on the first floor, and a family/bonus room, 3/4 bath, and bedroom/den upstairs. One of the biggest challenges with this project was maintaining a living space for the homeowners during construction. We completed the large 1800 square foot addition first and once the homeowners temporarily moved in there, we set to work on the existing home. We encountered a significant amount of rot and damage to the existing home, which required a lot of repair before we could put it all back together. Our goal from the outset of this project was to create a seamless junction between old and new; careful planning and expert execution were required to pull this off given the circumstances of the project as well as the conditions encountered during construction.
